ABOUT
Willow Ruth’s approach is rooted in compassion, non-judgment, and curiosity. She understands the complex (and often unseen) impacts of big and small traumas on individuals, families, and communities. Willow’s work focuses on overarching themes including nervous system regulation, fostering self-awareness, forgiveness, and connecting clients to their own innate wisdom and inner guidance. She orients toward her client’s inner and outer resources, values, and strengths. She utilizes somatic/body-based interventions and cognitive explorations into limiting/harmful thought patterns and core beliefs that hinder the expression of our authentic selves and personal potential.
Her intention is for therapy sessions to serve as a sanctuary where clients can unwind, experience calm, consider new perspectives, learn new ways to communicate, and develop greater emotional intelligence. Together, Willow and her clients discover effective ways to process and navigate hard emotions, build resilience, and foster sustainable life skills. Willow works through an ecological systems lens, recognizing the complex web of relations in which we are all inherently interwoven. And with this acknowledgement, we can imagine the scope of our individual growth and transformation to ripple out toward all whom we love and care for.
In essence, Willow aspires for her clients to recognize and embrace their innate goodness, rediscover hope in the midst of adversity, and become their own fiercest allies.
