ABOUT

Sonya Brophy’s clinical focus is working with adults, typically those between 35 and 65 years old. She only works with individuals. Prior to working in outpatient therapy, Sonya worked in medical social work and for crisis lines. Her background in these areas informs her clinical practice. Sonya uses SFBT, ACT, DBT, and Trauma-Focused therapies with her clients.

Sonya believes her role as a therapist is to empower her clients. She hopes to work with the client for an episode of care, and then proudly see them graduate from therapy. She focuses primarily on individuals with anxiety or trauma but will see some clients with other concerns.

She enjoys exploring both mountain and desert climates year-round through camping, hiking, snowshoeing, and kayaking. She is a big fan of table-top games and is a lifelong fan of Star Trek.
