It’s hard to feel calm when you’re anxious. Your mind races and your thoughts become overwhelming. You might even start to feel a bit panicked, like there is no way out of the situation that’s causing you so much stress.

There are many ways to help lower anxiety, but one of the most effective is mindfulness. 

Mindfulness allows us to step back from our thoughts and feelings in order to gain some perspective on what we’re going through emotionally. And when it comes down to it, mindfulness could be one of the best things for lowering our anxiety levels!

  1. Practice intentional, deep breathing to calm down your nervous system.
  2. Slow down by focusing on one thing at a time.
  3. Spend some time in nature, whether it’s in the mountains or just outside in your own backyard!
